The tragics each year do a pilgramidge to Iluka and the mighty Clarence River, chasing all varieties of fish. The hope though ,when we are there, is to tangle with a few nice jewfish (mulloway). Also we go in winter as the weather there we find is much better, we still manage to get a few Jewfish. We have now identified several great spots, very secret even to the locals up there. We consistently get soapies (smaller fish around the 40 -50cm mark) and better fish up to and consistently around the legal limit of 70cm. Great fun on the very light gear we use, as we are usually also targeting bream and flathead in the same locations.
